What do you get a woman who could have absolutely anything? A hologram of her deceased father.
Kim Kardashian turned 40 on October 23 and, as you know, she marked her milestone birthday by taking her nearest and dearest to a private island to celebrate.
The businesswoman has been sharing snaps of her birthday bash and lavish gifts throughout the week (and practically calling us all poor), including flowers from Chrissy Teigen and… a hologram from her husband Kanye West.
On Thursday (Oct 29), Kim shared a clip of the hologram on Twitter, calling it "the most thoughtful gift of a lifetime". She tweeted: "For my birthday, Kanye got me the most thoughtful gift of a lifetime. A special surprise from heaven. A hologram of my dad. It is so lifelike! We watched it over and over, filled with emotion."

The hologram of Robert Kardashian, who passed away in 2003, shows him wearing a beige suit and delivering a heartfelt message to Kim. It said: "Happy Birthday Kimberly! Look at you! You're 40 and all grown up. You look beautiful just like when you were a little girl.
"I watch over you and your sisters and brother and the kids every day. Sometimes I drop hints that I'm around. Remember when I would drive you to school in my tiny Mercedes every day and we would listen to this song together."
The hologram also commended Kim on going to law school and continuing his legacy, and supporting Armenia, where Robert was from. But, rather strangely, the hologram praised Kanye for being a "genius". It said: "You married the most, most, most, most genius man in the whole world, Kanye West." Er, right…
Whilst the gift was thoughtful, people were absolutely baffled that Kanye would commission a hologram to praise himself!?
This was an odd but sweet sentiment until the hologram said “you have married the most, most, most, most, MOST genius man in the whole entire world...” and then it just lost me. Kanye’s using family to fulfill his narcissistic impulses now? Yikes
